HOW I READ
My reading preferences are not having distractions, I need silence in order to concentrate with others. When I was in Nipomo for about 2 years i was surrounded by white people. I've made some friends and I was the only Mexican besides my sister in that school. I learned a lot more by being with them so when I came back for 5th grade only a month before the school ended I had gone to Rice Elementary with one of my principals who had become a teacher from Adams to Rice. In his class all students were suppose to read an amount of words in a minute. I had reached 189 words per second while the top student practiced to get to 192 words per minute. Ever since then, once I started Junior high at Fesler and El Camino Junior High I had read more than 100 books. My teachers Mr.Miller and Mr.Rodriguez had requested me to join Battles of the Books. I had rejected the offer and by the end of the year I had read more than 1 million words. But, things changed once I got into High School I had been very busy my freshmen and sophomore year. I stopped reading and started focusing on my activities just as my homework and my sport I've never really had the time to sit down and read a novel. Ever so I have siblings who are very energetic as well as a baby sister. I can't really make time because my time is limited in every aspect of my life. No tall the time am I always home but sometimes i make sure that others are as well and even so I struggle to learn each day. But, i put in effort in each subject and the most necessary for me is English, Math Analysis, and Engineer and Technology.
