Literature Analysis
1)Plot: During 1994, US Marshall Teddy Daniels and Chuck are both going to the Shutter Island to find the missing criminal girl Rachel Solando and they can't seem to find her.
2)Theme: In my opinion the theme of this book was about how everyone has a mental illness including the own doctor who would be Dr. Cawley.
3)Author: The authors morning routine may consist of a bit of coffee. Why? He seems to be specific in some parts of the novel like naming how insane people can get in the Ward C which is prohibited by all time in the series but, Chuck and Teddy are sent there to find Rachel. He probably sleeps late because they find in cryptic notes which guide them into insanity. He probably doesn't drink because of the amount of effort he puts into the meaning of the allusions he makes in the chapters. For breakfast he probably has some certain type of regular eggs and the toast with some milk and maybe a little bit of oranges or fruits on the side to be a little healthy which he of course doesn't do with the limited time he is given in the time he is writing in this book. For exercise he barley does anything because ever since he was little he has always been slim. He obviously wakes up early to start on the book he has and the chapters behind each chapter with the meaning.
4) 5 Literary techniques in this novel were the tone and mood which was dark and threatening, foreshadowing would be in how Teddy lost his companion Chuck which shows that his allies are disappearing, paradox would be in how Teddy is seeking for Andrew Laeddis but he can't escape him because Dr. Cawley is Andrew Laeddies. Th other two literary terms would be parallelism and personification.
