1. Nick didn't get the house with the other man in the beginning of the book because the other man was sent to Washington by the firm and so Nick had to go alone.

2. She shopped,Tom bought her a dog and she called some people to join her at the apartment.
1. There were many guests at the party, Nick was there so was Jordan and Gatsby himself.
2. I believe that the person that got punched was very upset and mad.
1.Gatsby is a very rich man and Nick's neighbor.
2.Gastby and Daisy were lovers back when they were younger.
